Hello! My name is Katrin. Originally grown up in Northern Germany and after several stops abroad and different areas of Germany I settled at the river Rhine, where I enjoy living for over 30 years by now.

In 2019 my husband Willi and I completed the backyard house in Bilk - a heart project. Our preference for clear design, natural materials and sustainable architecture are expressed here.
A brief history. The building originally served as a vehicle hall on the ground floor. Administrative rooms were formerly located on the upper floor. In 2017 we bought the upper floor and completely reorganized it. Two residential units were created - a large atrium apartment - and a small granny flat with its own entrance area - the Apartment in Bilk. The building has a green roof and is heated with an air source heat pump. An oasis has been created in the middle of the city!
